Patience in Suffering

As we continue in our series on the book of James, we turn our attention from those who exploit others and ignore their suffering to those who undergo hardship in this life. James reminds the church that in our temporary earthly suffering, our hope is not found in human perspective and action, but in the promise of the Gospel that reminds us that Jesus is the Messiah and He is returning to finish His redeeming work. This is the hope of the Gospel that sets our perspective in Him and compels us to faithfully persevere for His glory and our good. We hope that God's Word convicts and encourages you.
